- Usage data: Events you view, save to Wishlist, review, and interact with
- Preferences: Region and category selections you make
- Art Temperature: Your engagement score based on in-app activity
- Newsletter: Email address if you choose to subscribe
- Device data: Browser type, operating system, and general location for regional event curation
How We Use Your Information
- To provide personalized arts and culture event recommendations
- To calculate and display your Art Temperature score
- To power CALi, our AI curator, with regional preferences
- To send weekly event newsletters, only if subscribed
- To improve our data sources and recommendation quality
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties

- Ticketmaster - event data and ticket links, including affiliate links
- Google / Gemini AI - AI-generated event summaries and descriptions
- Anthropic / Claude - AI curator conversation processing

Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies for authentication sessions and user preferences. We use browser localStorage to remember dismissed banners, newsletter subscription status, and PWA install prompts. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Affiliate Links
ArtsCAL participates in affiliate programs including Ticketmaster via Impact.com. When you click "Get Tickets" and complete a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate tracking cookies are set by Ticketmaster, not ArtsCAL.

Data Retention
Account data is retained until you request account deletion. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Usage logs are retained for up to 12 months for service improvement.
Children's Privacy
ArtsCAL is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of ArtsCAL after changes constitutes acceptance.
